I’m a third year PhD student from the School of Physics & Astronomy. I became involved with the Carpentries shortly after beginning my studies at St Andrews, helping at a workshop in November 2020 covering the Unix Shell, Git and Python – topics I had familiarity with. In the following weeks I trained to become a Carpentry instructor, and have continued to teach these topics at Carpentry workshops here at St Andrews ever since.

In addition to my experience with Shell, Git and Python I have interest in other areas of scientific computing and Linux system administration, having obtained a Linux Professional Institute (LPIC-1) qualification last year. You can find out more on my personal webpage.
